Dairy- you make up your own mind.

I have personally not consumed dairy since 2015 and for me it was one of the best decisions I made for my health. I went off dairy for several years as a teenager and then stupidly started consuming it again and it contributed to all sorts of health problems, that took years to detox and cleanse from.

For me and my husband, dairy was problematic. And we are both so glad we don’t consume it anymore.

Its inflammatory, its full of artificial hormones, which in turn wreaks havoc on the endocrine system, as dairy is a huge hormone disruptor.

Most people don’t have the enzyme (lactase) to break dairy (or more specifically lactose) down, and most other people, by the age of 22 stop producing that enzyme.

Sure, there is some good studies done on raw milk and the benefits. But when you look at that argument, I look at the fact that dairy is meant for a calf to grow to full size within about 3 months. The carbohydrate, protein, fat ratio is very different to human breast milk.

If you have no other food, dairy may just help sustain you. But I would ask you to question for yourself if it really is worth consuming. How did dairy become so popular? Have you ever looked into how it was introduced to the masses?

Let alone the ethical fact that a cow has to be artificially inseminated to stay pregnant just so we can enjoy milk in our cappuccino and ice-cream on a hot day. There are heaps of healthy alternatives these days.

But ultimately, I like to give you information, and then, especially for the dairy debate, you can make up your own mind.

If you have been suffering from sinus, allergies, asthma or endometriosis, or any other inflammatory condition, I urge you to go off dairy for 28 days and make a good attempt to record any changes.

So here is a list I put together for you to have a read….
