Inner Permaculture
Sustainable Health is a concept developed by Mary-Kate Hoogland, some 20 years ago.
Through the understanding that health is multifaceted and encompasses every aspect of life.
One aspect to a more sustainable healthy life, is to be able to pick fresh produce from your own garden (or buy vegetables in close proximity to where you live). You do not need much room, you just need some inspiration and desire to grow your own food.
The permaculture principle is working with the external ecology and using the fundamentals of Mother Nature. Creating a garden using these principles ensures a diverse, efficient and long-term sustainable system. To have sustainable health, and a sustainable garden we need to look at both the external environment and the internal. By observing how your mind and actions have an impact on the environment, and how working in harmony with the season, being in tune with your inner nature, you will see how that flows into your garden experience.
“When I first heard the term, Inner Permaculture from my dear friend Stu, I was like, that’s it, that’s the perfect term for what I already try to express to the world. We have to get our inner garden right, and it will flow out onto our outer garden” Mary-Kate
Mary-Kate provides a home service where she can start your garden, help maintain it, introduce you to ways of cooking the fresh produce and explain the nutritional and medicinal uses behind the plants in your garden.
This service is available to residents of the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney area.
Fees are calculated at the initial consultation and tailored to each individual.
